Welcome to Rock & Roll Flashback! I’m Bill Price, and today I’ll be focusing on one of rock’s West Coast concert venues of the mid 60s and the 70s. Built in 1949, the Swing Auditorium had a capacity of 10,000 and was located on the grounds of the National Orange Show in San Bernardino, California. Living nearby, I had the opportunity to personally attend several concerts there. Here is a brief history, with a splash of my personal recollections, of the Swing Auditorium!
All podcasts on the Rock and Roll Flashback Podcast are produced by brothers-in-law Bill Price and "Jumpin' John" McDermott. The Podcast Theme Song, "You Essay", was written by John. It was initially recorded by Bill and John on April 1, 2004 with several revisions since then.
