After the controversy in the early 90s, Michael Jackson was eager to get his life and career back on track. After all, he had a new family to support and an album in the works. Unfortunately, these plans unraveled. Michael Jackson had a massive falling out with Sony records and a clash with notable producer, Tony Mattola. The Invincible album, which was supposed to mark a comeback for the King of Pop, fell flat. All the while, Michael accrued massive debts and struggled quietly with substance abuse.
