With his two friends, a video-game-obsessed young man finds himself in a strange version of Tokyo where they must compete in dangerous games to win.
In season two, we meet people involved in running these games at an even higher level: the Face Cards. It's hard to fight armored blimps in the sky, so the game-makers make it a bit easier for our players (thanks!) by giving them human foes for each face card. In video-game terms, these are the final bosses.
