From ancient villain and cautionary tale for wayward women, Medusa has endured and evolved into a symbol of strength and resistance for survivors of sexual violence. We look at the differences between her Greek and Roman origins and what each version of her tells us about how society viewed women and the harms done against them at the time. Tangents take us to discussions of rape culture, victim blaming and how we navigate life after trauma. (with some Noah Wyle fangirling sprinkled in).
