In this episode we get to look into the mindset of elite HYROX athletes. A lot of focus gets placed on the training regimes of the best of the best in HYROX, and rightly so, its obviously important. But much less attention goes towards how these athletes think. The fact is, there are some people physically more capable than some elite athletes right now, and who probably eat better and train more intelligently, but don’t perform as well at hyrox because their mindset, in some way, is holding them back. HYROX is tough. What allows some athletes to continue to push on, in the depths of a race, when their body is desperate for them to ease off, is a real differentiator in the sport. In this episode we share some clips from previous interviews with some of the best athletes in the sport – including Hunter McIntyre, Megan Jacoby, Alexander Roncevic, Rebecca Mason, Kate Davey and many more – where tell us they think about during a race when the going gets tough.
