Badlands (1973)

This week, Brent chooses Terrence Malick's 1973 road drama Badlands, starring Martin Sheen and Sissy Spacek as young lovers who embark on a spree-killing trip through the rural Southwest. The movie, loosely based on the real-life murders of Charles Starkweather and Caril Ann Fugate, was adopted into the National Film Registry in 1993.
