Airlines in ‘A Perfect Storm’ with an Extra Dose of ‘Bad Luck’

Francesca Page gives the outlook for airline stocks. “It is a perfect storm,” along with “a lot of bad luck,” she says. She thinks domestic flights are getting cheaper and companies are adding more promotions that might be enticing customers. However, with the dollar weakening, international travel might be less appealing. On the consumer side, she says insuring one’s trip is “vital.” She also looks at cruise lines.
