Barry Knapp on Financials & the Fed’s Rate Cut Path

Barry Knapp says “we’re clearly not getting any surprises” in this month’s Fed meeting, anticipating a 25 basis point rate cut. He previews Powell’s press conference after the decision and expects 75 basis points total in cuts this year. “They’re likely to end QT” as well, he adds, and explains how markets might react to that decision. He lays out his predictions for where markets will end the year and looks ahead to 2026.
