Beyond Meat (BYND) Higher on Meme Status: Have the Fundamentals Changed?

John Baumgartner discusses Beyond Meat (BYND) as a company and a meme stock. Trading volume has spiked recently, bringing shares up over 40% over the last five days. “Fundamentals haven’t really changed,” he stresses. “The past 5 or 6 years, we’ve seen this category struggle.” He thinks there’s been too much focus on beef in the industry, it hasn’t penetrated food service, and the “long term growth is not going to be what it was.”
