Breaking Down BABA Earnings: "Things Could Get Worse Before They Get Better"

Alibaba (BABA) shares are down after earnings which Melissa Armo says "looks like a short to me" adding "it's really hard to think about buying this" amid rockier U.S.-China trade relations. She's bearish on BABA and JD.com (JD). Olivier Blanchard says it's been a tough quarter considering macroeconomic conditions and the trade war, but he still "moderately hopeful" in the Chinese economy which would benefit stocks like BABA. He points out the A.I. exposure for BABA and how that factors into forward expectations.
