Cannabis Rescheduling Rumors Boost Pot Stocks

Dan Ahrens covers the cannabis sector for Next Gen Investing. “We’re in an odd situation,” he says, with pot stocks doubling in just a few months on a mix between “behind the scenes” discussions and rumors of the U.S. government rescheduling the drug. He looks at the current difficulties for cannabis companies based in the U.S. and in Canada and says there would have to be “a lot of work” and guidance from the DOJ to overhaul the industry. “These companies, really, really have a great deal of upside,” he stresses.
