David Ellison says the reason why rates fall matters – especially if due to a recession. However, the banks he’s talked to don’t seem concerned about the economy, though he thinks big banks have the advantage over regionals. He likes Visa (V), Mastercard (MA), JPMorgan (JPM), Wells Fargo (WFC), and Citigroup (C). “The smaller you get, the more you need consolidation,” he adds.
