The equity markets took their cues from positive overseas headlines in China/U.S. trade discussions to claim new all-time highs on Monday. One sector of the market that wasn't joining the rally: Domestic rare earth miners. The group faded on news that China could delay its export controls by 1 year. Meanwhile, Qualcomm (QCOM) jumped after revealing a new A.I. chip and AMD Inc (AMD) touched new heights. Amazon (AMZN) will reportedly begin layoffs of up to 30k corporate roles tomorrow.
