Hackett: Go With ‘Buy the Dip’ Until it Stops Working

“A period of consolidation is not unhealthy and not unexpected.” Mark Hackett looks at the beginning of September trading. Until “buy the dip” no longer works, he adds, it’s probably the best strategy. He contrasts institutional investing behavior with retail investors. Mark is also watching earnings revisions, noting that this is the time of year companies start lowering guidance – but not this year. He also gives his outlook for the rest of the year.
