He suggests journaling any investment goals, plans and physically writing out any thoughts along your investing journey. In terms of portfolio allocation, he says to "manage the moment." Dr. Preston notes the emotional toll politics and policy can have on the everyday investors, but says tax-loss harvesting could be a way to take advantage of some downward market movement.
