Karafakis on Casual Dining: ‘Everybody’s Focused on Loyalty Programs’

Phil Kafarakis looks at headwinds that will impact restaurants, including Chipotle (CMG) ahead of its earnings. He notes that while they’ve moved their supply chain to be less affected by Mexican tariffs, they face stiff competition and promotions. He says McDonald’s (MCD) has benefitted from its Minecraft movie collaboration. “Everybody’s focused on loyalty programs,” he adds.
