Melson: Recession Risks Continue to Be in the Picture

"Under the surface, you're certainly seeing signs of cooling," says Garrett Melson. He joins Nicole Petallides to discuss the current state of the U.S. economy as investors await further action from the Fed amid an ongoing international trade dispute spurred on by Pres. Trump's tariff policy plans. Garrett points to softening wage growth as just one indicator that could lead to "pretty tepid growth" in the months to come. For today's Fed meeting, he doesn't expect much in Jerome Powell's rhetoric to change, adding the central bank is on hold at the moment.
