Stock Market Today: MSFT & META Surge on Earnings, QCOM Falls

Commentary from Fed chair Jerome Powell sent most stocks into the red after the FOMC voted 9-2 to keep interest rates unchanged in its July meeting. If the session wasn't busy enough, Microsoft (MSFT) and Meta Platforms (META) reported earnings after hours. Both stocks surged with A.I. being credited for soaring revenue and guidance.
