Zandi ‘Next Thing to Go’ is the Job Market as Recession Odds Hit ‘60% & Rising’

Mark Zandi calls tariffs “baffling, disconcerting, and hard to fathom.” He says it’s unclear what we’re trying to achieve, saying that tariffs won’t fix the trade deficit, only lower economic activity. The odds of a recession are “60% and rising” in his view, and Mark expects the “next thing to go” will be the job market.
