Maria DeVivo is a teacher and a writer, Her books include The Coal Elf Chronicles, the story of the elves on the North Pole who mine the coal for the naughty kids at Christmas as well as The Aestrangel Trinity.. Maria shares how the SE Hinton book, The Outsiders influenced her desire to be a teacher and a writer.
