Adorabo Te, Domine Mi

Lyrics Below. This sacred cantata is sung in Latin and unfolds through Classical-era orchestration, elegant strings and woodwinds, classical guitar, expressive flute and cello, Baroque-influenced ornamentation, and refined counterpoint. The text proclaims the glory of the Almighty, the Lamb who was slain, the crucified and exalted King of Kings, while repeated Alleluias and the central declaration “Adorabo te, Domine mi” form a reverent call for heaven and earth to worship before His throne. The work builds from intimate prayer into a majestic orchestral and choral proclamation of Christ as Agnus Dei, Rex Regum, Dominus Dominorum, and Omnipotens.
