One Of These Days

**Lyrics Below — “One Of These Days”** is a joyful, expectant song about looking beyond this present life toward the day when the trumpet sounds and we enter forever into the presence of the Lord. The verses begin with quiet, everyday images—morning light, waking from a dream, and a traveler walking the narrow way—before opening into the declaration, *“One of these days I’m gonna fly.”* Musically, this 2026 Remix is rooted in classic 1970s Southern rock, moving at 115 BPM in G major with a warm blend of blues, country, gospel, and roots rock. Strummed acoustic guitar and clean electric guitar give way to rich Hammond B3, rolling gospel-blues piano, melodic bass, natural drums, congas, hand percussion, and strong Southern-rock male harmonies in the choruses. A major instrumental feature is the extended harmonized double-lead guitar section, with two electric guitars weaving lyrical major-key melodies, sustained bends, call-and-response phrases, and soaring harmony lines. The result is a warm, melodic Southern-rock worship song filled with anticipation for the day when faith becomes sight and there is joy forevermore in the presence of Jesus. [Intro] [strummed acoustic guitar, clean electric guitar lead riff] [Verse 1] Morning dove taps on my window Curtain moves, sunlight in my eyes Thoughts slowly rise like a whisp of smoke I was living in a dream until I awoke [Chorus] One of these days I'm gonna fly One of these days when the trumpet sounds Joy unspeakable, full of glory there In the presence of the Lord is joy forevermore [Verse 2] Ramlin' man, roamin' on the narrow way Singing songs of praise, oh happy day He lifts his head, his gaze begins to rise He turns to me and says, "Keep your eyes on the prize" [Chorus] One of these days I'm gonna fly One of these days when the trumpet sounds Joy unspeakable, full of glory there In the presence of the Lord is joy forevermore [Instrumental Break] [Chorus] One of these days I'm gonna fly One of these days when the trumpet sounds Joy unspeakable, full of glory there In the presence of the Lord is joy forevermore [Outro] One of these days I'm gonna fly One of these days I'm gonna fly One of these days when the trumpet sounds
