Open The Gates

Lyrics Below- **“Open The Gates”** is a declaration of faith and praise drawn from the language and imagery of the Psalms. Moving through the Lord as our light, salvation, strength, shepherd, and the One who leads us into His presence, the song builds around the great proclamation of Psalm 24: **“Lift up your heads all ye gates, for the King of Glory shall come in.”** The chorus celebrates Jesus as the King of Glory and Lord of hosts, while the verses reflect the prayer for clean hands, a pure heart, fearless trust, and a life that dwells in the presence of God. This **2026 Remix** gives new life to the song while keeping its central message: **open the gates and welcome the King.** **Open The Gates** Lord is my light and my salvation Of whom shall I fear? The Lord is my strength and my song The Lord is my strength and my song Lift up your heads all ye gates For the King of Glory shall come in Who is this King of Glory? He's the Lord, the Lord of hosts Who shall ascend the hill of the Lord And stand in the holy place? Only the one whose hands are clean Only the one whose heart is pure Lift up your heads all ye gates For the King of Glory shall come in Who is this King of Glory? He's the Lord, the Lord of hosts Lord is my shepherd I shall not want He leads me to waters still A house of the Lord forever I'll dwell In the house of the Lord forever I'll dwell Lift up your heads all ye gates For the King of Glory shall come in Who is this King of Glory? He's the Lord, the Lord of hosts
