"Men of good fortune often cause empires to fall, while men of poor beginnings often can't do anything at all" this week Sean brings in an album with a very sad story. We're looking at BERLIN (1973) by LOU REED

Send us Fan Mail

Berlin is the third solo studio album by American rock musician Lou Reed, released in October 1973 by RCA Records. A concept album, Berlin tells the story of a couple's struggle with abuse and drug addiction. Initially, critical reception was mixed but appraisals of the album have warmed over the years: in 1973 Rolling Stone declared the album "a disaster", but by 2012 the album was ranked No. 344 on its list of the 500 greatest albums of all time.
