There's no way we would skip the record-breaking limited series from Netflix, The Queen's Gambit about an orphaned prodigal chess player. Maddie and Sophie debate things such as how our Beth's substance abuse was handled, her kooky adopted mother and if it was actually legal for her to buy that house. Its not an episode of SBS without analyzing the men in our leading lady's life: the chess cowboy/Harry Styles look-alike, sad sap grocery boy and an *alleged* gay BFF. Checkmate!
