Euan Fryer - Skipper at Athens of the North has been collecting and DJing rare soul, funk & disco for over 30 years. Known in the scene for his scottish club in the late 90s/early 200s called Motherfunk, which was strictly soul and funk45sm, much loved, and always chock-full. His collecting, djing and knowledge lead him to running labels for Jazzman Records in Camden for 11 years. After this he started the much-respected Athens of the North label around 10 years ago which has gone from strength to strength, moving from not only rare soul and Funk releases, but new music as well. "This mix is a taste of my favourite releases from the label and also a preview of things to come in the next year or so."
