My Secret Santa (Netflix Xmas Movie)

We’re off to a ski town to be a Santa and date a nepo baby whose dad wants him to run his company.

On this week's date, we start with a heavy pop culture debrief. We break down the news that Overcompensating season two has been greenlit and spiral over Mary Beth Barone having her ex of four years, Edward Blumenthal, on her podcast. We also discuss the obsession with Heated Rivalry (which has more than two gay people!) and dissect the new Emily in Paris trailer where she is inexplicably qualified to run the Rome office. Plus, we cover the People We Meet on Vacation trailer starring the girl from My Lady Jane and President Snow, and the existential dread of Netflix potentially buying Warner Brothers.

Then, we get into My Secret Santa. We discuss Taylor getting fired from a cookie shop and immediately deciding to dress up as a man named "Hugh Man" to work as a Santa. We try to understand why the 55-year-old landlady is aggressively flirting with an 80-year-old Santa and why the nepo baby love interest, Matthew, destroys a car and is immediately made General Manager. We also unpack the "Screaming Kittens" punk band backstory, the scene where Matthew thinks Santa is hooking up in a bathroom stall, and why Santa lives or dies by going viral.
