Leon grew up dyslexic, failed elementary school, and felt from the very beginning that he had been sent here without the right tools.

By 36 he was a successful Los Angeles lawyer who came home at night and did six or seven soul readings a week. The book he wrote in his late thirties sat untouched for thirty years, traveled with him through five moves, and survived the Pacific Palisades fire that took his home.

At 80, he says he finally knows his purpose.
