Drivers who should've been world champion

Five-time runner-up in the World Rally Championship, Thierry Neuville is closing in on a maiden world title which he can claim at next week's Rally Japan. So that got us thinking: who are the drivers in WRC history who should've, would've and even could've become world champion, but for one reason or another didn't quite manage it?
