146 | The Cause of Your Resentment... It's Not What You Think

If resentment has been quietly building inside of you and you cannot quite put your finger on why, this episode is going to surprise you in the best possible way.

Because the thing is the cause of your resentment might not actually be your husband. It might not be the unequal division of responsibilities or the spiritual warfare you are carrying alone or even the weight of being the spiritual leader in a home that does not always feel like it is moving in the right direction. The answer might be a lot closer to home than that, and the Holy Spirit showed me exactly what I mean during a run last week.

I am sharing two things that I was doing, or not doing, that were quietly feeding my own resentment without me even realizing it. And once I saw it, I could not unsee it. This is one of those episodes that is going to make you want to sit with the Lord and ask him some honest questions about what is actually going on beneath the surface.

If you have been stuffing down what you need, telling yourself you should be fine, and then wondering why the resentment keeps creeping back in, this one is for you. There is so much biblical encouragement and Holy Spirit wisdom waiting for you in it.
