Darth Maul is Sent by Palpatine to FIGHT His Replacement - Star Wars Tales #24

Today let's cover the Star Wars Tales Issue 24 comic where Darth Maul is sent on a mission by Palpatine to find someone force sensitive. What Maul doesn't know, is that Sidious plans to make this target his new apprentice should Maul fail to beat him. Through the story we see moments of Maul's childhood as Sidious is taking him.

fun fact: Apparently, we were going to get Darth Vader vs Darth Maul in Rebels. This was how Maul was originally going to die (according to rumors).

It ultimately never happened, and we got Maul vs Kenobi, leading to his demise.
