In the events after Revenge of the Sith, Vader was on the hunt for Obi-Wan Kenobi. He heard a group of Jedi would be meeting with him on a distant planet. Going to ambush his old master and attain his revenge, he was baited into a trap by several remaining Jedi who survived Order 66.
