Luke's Point of View: Anakin's Redemption (CANON) - Star Wars Explained

in the book The Secrets of the Jedi, we get to learn Luke's point of view of Anakin's return after being Darth Vader for so many years. It's interesting as we dive into Luke's thoughts of rushing to fight Vader during Empire Strikes Back, and then to his ultimate sacrifice at the end of Return of the Jedi where Anakin came back to save his son. Even after all the things Anakin Skywalker did during Order 66, killing Obi-Wan Kenobi, and betraying all the Jedi once he became a Sith Lord, he was still able to be redeemed by Luke, who as George Lucas always said, was merely the catalyst to help Anakin come back and fulfill the prophecy as the chosen one.
