Mace Windu's 7th lightsaber fighting style variant, Vaapad, was the main reason he was able to defeat Palpatine in Star Wars Revenge of the Sith. This fighting style was extremely effective, yet difficult to remain in the light side of the force. Mace taught it to only ONE other person, and this is the outcome. I imagine this is why he never taught it to Anakin Skywalker.
