What We ALMOST Saw Palpatine Do RIGHT Before Mace Windu Arrived to FIGHT - Star Wars Explained

In Star Wars Revenge of the Sith, we almost got a cool scene of Palpatine summoning his lightsaber from his statue (Sistros) and then turning on the tape recording device (audio only!). This would have been sick to see on screen. Oh well, at least it's in the book.
