This is Still Here Hollywood. I’m Steve Kmetko. Join me, with today’s guest, Cliff Clavin from “Cheers”, John Ratzenberger.

A “Hail Mary” pass is pretty much a football term, and of course a prayer, but that’s the point.. Several decades ago, one auditioning actor (who was shown the door), held that door open long enough to toss a Hail Mary pass to the producers. That last second pitch landed him the role of an iconic character in one of the biggest TV comedies of the 20th century.
