Nahum and the Nineties by John Brown and Brian Wright

God is good, a strong refuge in times of trouble; He cares for those who trust in Him. But He will sweep away His enemies like a mighty flood and drive them into darkness. In the book of Nahum, God promises to punish the Assyrians, who had been oppressing Israel. God’s people can find comfort in his prophecy, which shows how God will defeat all our enemies. He even sent His Son, Jesus, to defeat sin, death and the devil, and reminds us that everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.
