How Can Righteousness Exceed the Pharisees'? Matthew 5:19-32 (KJV) | Sermon on the Mount Pt 7
1 tim 31 min•30 april 2026
Om avsnittet
How can your righteousness exceed the Pharisees'? In Matthew 5:19-32 (KJV) Jesus says, "But I say unto you": anger is murder and a look is adultery in the heart.
Sermon on the Mount Part 7 with Matt Hepner and TopLobsta: an external law you can keep in your own strength leads to pride. God wants it written on the heart.
Love God and love your neighbor were never new (Deuteronomy 6; Leviticus 19; Matthew 22). The Pharisees said, and did not (Matthew 23). Matt shows you can break the law of God without breaking the law of Moses, walks through anger, lust and divorce (Matthew 5:21-32; 19:3-9), and traces the new heart of Ezekiel 11 and 36, Romans 7, the woman taken in adultery (John 8), and the road to Emmaus (Luke 24).
Primary passage: Matthew 5:19-32 (KJV)
Also in this episode: Matthew 23:1-12 · Luke 18:9-14 · Matthew 19:3-9 · Ezekiel 36:16-27 · Romans 7:1-11 · John 8:1-11
