Om avsnittet
Is the gap theory biblical? Matt reads Genesis 1:1-2 (KJV) with Isaiah 45:18, then takes Patreon questions on tithing, divorced pastors, Hebrews 6 and more.
Straight Bible Q&A, Session One, with Matt Hepner and TopLobsta, live with questions from Patreon members and the chat.
The first Straight Bible Q&A. Did Jesus ever ask for money? Matt's family lost everything and God restored the years (Joel 2:25). Favorite sermons and writers: Edwards, Spurgeon, Oswald Chambers, William Gurnall. Was Jesus talking about Catholics and Orthodox in Matthew 7:22? On the gap theory, the earth "was without form, and void," but Isaiah 45:18 says God "created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited." Then a divorced pastor and 1 Timothy 3, render unto Caesar, tithing and the cheerful giver (2 Corinthians 9:7), Solomon and Jesus in 2 Samuel 7, Hebrews 6, Enoch, the Tower of Babel, tongues, and whether the Father has a body (Daniel 7; Revelation 5).
