Om avsnittet
Why did Moses turn aside to see the burning bush? In Exodus 3:1-5 (KJV), God called Moses by name only when He saw that he turned aside to see.
Straight Bible 001, the very first episode, with Matt Hepner and TopLobsta: the burning bush was not Moses' first encounter with God.
Stephen's account in Acts 7 shows Moses already knew he was Israel's deliverer and jumped the gun 40 years earlier. Matt shows how God's calls are often subtle: Reinhard Bonnke turning back to knock on George Jeffreys' door, a 16-year-old knocking on a neighbor's door that launched a career, and four lepers at the gate who said, "Why sit we here until we die?" (2 Kings 7). You have been saved and called with a holy calling (2 Timothy 1:9), so how shall we escape if we neglect so great salvation (Hebrews 2:3)? The bush is on fire. Go check it out.
Primary passage: Exodus 3:1-5 (KJV)
Also in this episode: Acts 7:22-31 · 2 Kings 7:3-16 · Romans 8:28 · 2 Timothy 1:8-9 · Hebrews 2:3
