Pixar: Why Does Buzz Freeze SOLVED

It’s possibly the oldest question in all of Toy Story - If Buzz Lightyear really thinks he is a Space Ranger, then why does he freeze when, Andy is the room.  Certainly this would tip him off that he’s a toy right? Is it just a part of his space ranger training? Is it fight or flight?  

Thanks to Toy Story 5, we may have finally gotten an answer to this question after 30 years of wondering!
