Carmine Appice
As the drummer for Vanilla Fudge and Cactus during the late-1960s and early 1970s, Carmine Appice pioneered the thunderous sound of heavy rock. He later co-wrote massive disco and synth-pop hits while drumming for Rod Stewart, and logged stints with Ozzy Osbourne, Ted Nugent, Blue Murder and King Kobra, among many others. He joins us to discuss his latest Cactus album, “Temple of Blues II,” his all-star list of collaborators, his secret to great hair, recording with Paul Stanley, rumors of joining Led Zeppelin and that time he and Ozzy turned a limo run to White Castle into a future backstage burger feast.
