Watford Stalemate: Reaction

Ian Irving hosts The Athletic's podcast dedicated to Manchester United in conversation with regular Athletic contributor Andy Mitten and club writer Carl Anka.

Roy Hodgson brought the Hornets to Old Trafford on Saturday and they were well beaten by Ralf Rangnick's Manchester Utd. At least, they should have been, but chance after chance went begging and the game finished goalless.

Rangnick's ideas have shown some signs of taking hold but perhaps not everyone and, as revealed by our colleague Laurie Whitwell, Cristiano Ronaldo asked for a meeting with the manager to discuss the team's attacking strategy.
