Tao of the Day S2_046

Today started off a little slow but ramped up with 11 guests. I had to end it quickly because I had a client to attend to and forgot to say "Until next time, keep recovering yourself." (lol) I started by cover #26 and my buddy William joined with #18. I got to catch up with Kelly and we discussed #80 after which Charente Sicily, and Energy Lady covered #55, #28, and #3 Julie then popped on with #10. Everything started getting a bit too much at that point and I hosted as best I could Kathryn, Dr. Goodman, John Orpington, and Jose Garcia with #33, #34, #31, and #14.

If you toss compliments around freely,
people will waste time trying to impress you.
If you give things too much value,
you're going to get ripped off.
If you fulfill people's desires,

Starting a job and seeing it through,
Having things without holding on to them,
Doing the job without expecting anything,
Delegating authority without giving orders.
That's the way you do it.

Sounds deafen the ear.
Flavors numb the taste.
Thoughts weaken the mind.
Desires wither the heart.

The Master observes the world
but trusts his inner vision.

Listen, and it can't be heard.
Reach, and it can't be grasped.

Above, it isn't bright.
Below, it isn't dark.
Seamless, unnamable,
it returns to the realm of nothing.
Form that includes all forms,
image without an image,
subtle, beyond all conception.

Approach it and there is no beginning;
follow it and there is no end.
You can't know it, but you can be it,
at ease in your own life.
Just realize where you come from:
this is the essence of wisdom.

goodness and piety appear.
When the body's intelligence declines,

patriotism is born.
