“Biblical Truth in a Busy World: Sin, Culture, and Family”

27 min14 april 2026

Why does David say in Psalm 51:4 “Against you, you only, have I sinned”? Didn’t he also sin against Uriah and Bathsheba in this instance?

My question came as a result of Pastor Doug's message a couple of weeks ago in Luke 23:27-31. While I recognize that Jesus was probably being specific about the times just prior to his crucifixion, when the religious leaders were rejecting his teachings. Is it possible that there is another prediction here in Luke? In this passage, is Jesus looking toward times such as today, when women bearing children are not seen as a virtue, but as a hindrance to their growth and prosperity? We see this view in many individuals (couples) who put off marriage and having children, and focus only on their economic progress and financial security.

How can we still prioritize our spouse and marriage when small kids demand most of our time? help make a catchy podcast tittle
