Episode 28: The Longest Yard

We continue season five’s theme of Reboots, Remakes, and Re-dos with the 2005 revival of “The Longest Yard.”

In what may be one of the most faithful remakes ever released in the history of cinema, we watch Adam Sandler join with Burt Reynolds, the star of the original, to modernize the themes and stakes for a new generation of viewers. 

It’s a herculean task determining if this remake is worthy of inclusion in our version of The Adam Sandler Cinematic Universe, and one that we admittedly might not be completely able to tackle, so you’ll have to listen to find out if we are able to succeed or if this ends with a turnover on downs.
