Florida Man - Ron DeSantis Episode 1 (with Half Baked History)

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has been making a major splash in the waters of Republican politics in recent years and is even expected to run for President in 2024. But just WHO is Ron DeSantis, and why does he pose such a threat to former President Donald Trump for the Republican nomination?

In this series of the podcast, we plan to explore just those questions by not just talking about the 2024 Republican race, but by exploring the political rise of Ron DeSantis. 

Today's episode brings us onto the baseball diamond as we discuss Ron DeSantis's boyhood growing up playing America's Pastime in Florida. His exploits on the baseball field bring him to the Little League World Series and, eventually, to becoming the captain of the Yale baseball team during his senior year in college.

Next we, are joined by Kelsey and Nick from Half Baked History to discuss current Ron DeSantis headlines, such as:
