Arsenal start their Europa league campaign off with a winning start following a win at Kynunparp to beat FC Zurich 2-1. A game that saw teenager Marquinhos score a goal and grab an assist on his debut. An overall solid performance but one that wasn’t reflected on the scoreline. Despite performing well in most areas of Zurich’s half, they were sloppy out of possession and conceded a penalty. But Zurich did have their fair share of opportunities and could have taken something from the game had it not been for their lack of quality in the final third. Having said that, the first game is usually the hardest in a European competition and Arsenal will be glad to have taken all 3 points.
