This week we saw the official start of Arsenal’s pre-season as they secured a victory in Germany against FC Nurnberg 5-3 with Jesus securing his first two unofficial goals for the club. We discussed the game and the importance of Jesus’s role as a dynamic number 9. We also discussed the new contract extension for William Saliba and why he might want to sign a new deal with Arsenal consider past mishaps with the club. We gave our thoughts on Martin Odegaard being unofficially named the new captain for Arsenal going into the 22/23 campaign and whether he is the right man for the job.
