Arsenal suffered their inaugural defeat in the Premier League this season, succumbing 1-0 to Newcastle at St James' Park. The closely contested match found resolution in the second half as Anthony Gordon nudged the ball home from a short distance. However, the goal was accompanied by a tinge of controversy, as an extensive VAR examination could not definitively determine whether the ball had initially crossed the line or if the player was onside.
